Our neighbors in rural communities often face underemployment, which can contribute to food insecurity. The Food Bank & our Community Partner Agencies are fighting hunger in rural communities, with the help of generous supporters and companies like Walmart and Sam’s Club.
In this video, we visit our Community Partner Agency, Care & Hope Ministries, in Bastrop, LA. Their food pantry serves Morehouse Parish, an area where 20% of our neighbors may face hunger this year, including 32% of children.
Support from individuals, organizations and companies like Walmart & Sam’s Club help the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana provide food to our neighbors facing food insecurity through a network of over 60 Community Partner Agencies and Programs.
With every $10 donated the Food Bank can provide about 55 meals to children, families and seniors living in Northeast Louisiana.
