Your support helps the Food Bank serve Jackson Parish through our network of five partner agencies and programs. Nutritious food is provided to our neighbors facing hunger, like 66-year-old Sharon.

Sharon worked as a physical therapy tech for 18 years before being laid off last December.

Sharon said she began to visit one of the Food Bank’s partner agencies in Chatham after her son advised her to seek help.

“I never thought I would be going to a food pantry,” she said.

Sharon said that receiving groceries from the Food Bank helps her pay her bills each month since she lives on a fixed income.

“I’m only on social security with very little unemployment, so this really helps,” she said. “It gives me more money to pay my bills.”

Thanks to your support, the Food Bank provides nutritious foods to Sharon and thousands more of our neighbors facing hunger every month.
