Food Bank to host 9th Annual Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive
Monroe, LA – January 31, 2026 — The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana will kick off its 9th Annual Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive February 1st to help provide nutritious food to individuals and families facing hunger across the region. The Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive focuses on collecting jars of peanut butter for children, families and seniors in need of food assistance.
Spread the Love Runs from February 1 – March 31
The area-wide drive will run from February 1 through March 31, with a goal of collecting 5,000 pounds of peanut butter. Community members are encouraged to donate peanut butter in plastic jars or make a monetary contribution to support the effort.
Where to Donate Peanut Butter in Monroe
Peanut butter donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank, located at 4600 Central Avenue in Monroe, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Residents outside of Ouachita Parish are encouraged to contact the Food Bank to find the nearest food pantry drop-off location in their area.

Each year, the drive helps the Food Bank distribute thousands of jars of peanut butter throughout its 12-parish service area, which helps strengthens local pantries and feeding programs.
